Teeth Whitening Sunshine Coast

FOR WHITER, BRIGHTER TEETH, CONTACT BUDI DENTAL TODAY!

At Budi Dental we offer two types of teeth whitening: either a ‘take home’ whitening kit or in-chair Zoom whitening treatment. Both types of treatment will essentially produce the same result, however the take home kit does take a little longer to achieve desired results.

Take home whitening

The take home kit consists of custom made bleach trays fabricated from impressions taken at our practice. Whitening gel is placed in the bleaching trays and worn over five consecutive days. Some people achieve their desired result after just 5 days, others find that it can take a little longer.

We offer home whitening kits for just $299 (exclusive of consultation fee, if applicable).

Zoom in-chair whitening

For patients requiring an ‘instant’ result, we offer the latest Zoom in-chair whitening system. The treatment takes approximately 2 hours and also includes a take home ‘touch up’ kit. It is a non-invasive procedure with few side effects.

Zoom is a scientifically advanced, tooth whitening procedure. It is safe, effective and fast for anyone looking for immediate results.

  • Fast and convenient
  • Long lasting
  • Low sensitivity
  • Proven to be safe and effective

Extensive research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is a safe procedure. In fact many dentists consider whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available.

Frequently asked teeth whitening questions (Faqs)

How long do the results last?

Every person is different and so are the results and how long they last.
To keep your teeth looking their best, we recommend brushing twice daily, flossing daily and the occasional touch-up with your home whitening kit. Diet high in coloured foods and drinks can also affect the shade of your teeth, such as red wine, orange coloured foods and drinks, and tea/coffee etc.

Are there any side effects?

Sensitivity during the treatment may occur with some patients. The Zoom! light generates minimal heat which is the usual source of discomfort. On rare occasions, minor tingling sensations are experienced immediately after the procedure, but always dissipate. We recommend the use of a sensitive toothpaste for two weeks prior to Zoom! whitening to help aid sensitivity.

What causes tooth discolouration?

There are many causes. The most common include ageing and consumption of staining substances such as coffee, tea, tobacco, red wine, etc. During tooth formation, consumption of tetracycline, certain antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also cause tooth discoloration.

Is whitening safe?

Yes. Extensive research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. In fact, many dentists consider whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available. As with any tooth whitening product, Zoom! is not recommended for children under 16 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.
